Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She began her career with supporting roles in the teenage comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). Later, she played the character as reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt. She also had an important role in the short-lived FX series The Ex List. She was a part of the young Moira O'Hara in the debut season of FX's American Horror Story, and she played Kaylee in the season's third. She played Jessie Anderson's character on AMC's The Walking Dead. Sophie played her character in the NBC show This Is Us. She voiced a variety of characters on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019, she has starred in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien, Connecticut, until the age of 10 when she and her mother moved to California,[1] where they went through a few different places before finally settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge became attracted to acting, photography, and singing at age 13. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother at age 15 to pursue her acting career.
