Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, former chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, explains simple techniques that anybody can learn. Chef Burrell studied and worked in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and food in her early years. After obtaining an English and Communication diploma in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the restaurant business by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most fun time of my life. I couldn't seem to get enough enjoyment from it. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy she was able to fully appreciate and understand the philosophies behind Italian food and culture that left a lasting impact on her culinary viewpoint. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children living with obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she promotes juvenile diabetes awareness. She has been a frequent to speak at conferences and tours the country in her mentorship role. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she often says that she feels so lucky to be able to share my true passion for life with people.
