Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champion and co- UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko is an experienced Muay Thai Kickboxer began her career in fight sport at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded another medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold in 2011, and was crowned the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in 2016. Antonia began her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous championships, including the K-1 World Champion, Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko broke the professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a short absence from MMA and devoted her time to kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa through a unanimous decision, and then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the final clinch. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on an undisputed split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a rear naked choke. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night for that bout. Shevchenko had a win in her first three bouts, but lost them to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
